The global surgery magazine · Since 2019
Every story starts somewhere.
InciSe is InciSioN Global’s magazine: a meeting place for clinical knowledge, research, advocacy, creative work and the lived experiences behind surgical systems.
Our pages connect people across countries and disciplines, making space for emerging voices alongside established expertise, and asking what equitable surgical care looks like in practice.
From Promise to Practice
Making Global Surgery Deliver
Global surgery has gained visibility in international health policy. Yet recognition alone does not ensure that someone can obtain a safe operation, afford essential care, or recover with dignity. This edition explores what it takes to move from commitments and aspirations to financing, implementation, accountability and outcomes that matter to patients and communities.
Financing surgery
Sustainable health financing, affordability and financial protection for surgical care.
Systems under pressure
Workforce, infrastructure, essential services and health-system resilience in crises.
Proving progress
The evidence, implementation measures and accountability needed to show real change.
Voices shaping change
Locally led solutions, community experience and emerging leadership in surgical systems.
“The next chapter of global surgery should be defined not by what we promise, but by what we deliver.”
Two ways to shape the next issue.

The planned editorial cycle runs from November 2026 through January 2027. Applicants should consider the time they can realistically commit to editorial collaboration and feedback.

A place for your perspective.

If you have a contribution in mind, review the form for the current submission instructions. This route is separate from applying to the editorial team.
From pages to movement.
